Privacy Policy

  1. Your personal data (and, if you win a travel, experience or ticket prize for more than one person, the personal data of your guests) will be held by Carlsberg UK Limited (the "Promoter") and used only for the purpose of administering the promotion and publicising the winners in accordance with the terms and conditions relating to the promotion (“Terms and Conditions”). The Terms and Conditions are the legal basis for the Promoter's processing. If you do not provide your personal data, the Promoter cannot process your entry, enter you into the promotion or notify you if you are successful in accordance with its obligations under the Terms and Conditions. If your guest(s) do not provide their personal data, then the Promoter cannot include them in the prize.
  2. The Promoter will not keep your personal data for any longer than it needs to, either to comply with the law or to fulfil its obligations to you and other third parties. To find out more, you can contact the Promoter using the contact details set out below.
  3. The Promoter will not disclose or share your personal data with any third party other than those who are engaged by the Promoter to administer the promotion and fulfil the prizes. In particular, your personal data will be shared with Valassis Limited in order to process and administer your entry to the promotion and arrange payment should your claim be successful. Your personal data (and, if you are a winner, the personal data of your guest(s)) may be sent to countries outside of the European Economic Area where the Promoter's (or its third parties') processing equipment is located in another country or where fulfilment of the prize happens in another country but the Promoter will ensure that any transfer happens in accordance with applicable law.
  4. Entrants have various rights with regard to their personal data which the Promoter holds about them:
    1. a right to request a copy of that data;
    2. a right to require that the Promoter erases your data (but note that this will automatically remove your entry from the promotion and, if you are a winner or a guest of a winner, will mean that you cannot receive or take up the prize);
    3. a right to amend your data; and
    4. the right to ask us to port (transfer) your data directly to you or another organisation.

    To exercise any of these rights, please write to the promotions@carlsberg.co.uk. You will need to make your request in writing, specifying the action that you want the Promoter to take and enclose proof of your identity.

  5. If you believe that the Promoter is not treating your personal data in accordance with the law, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office. You can find more details at their website https://ico.org.uk/.

Terms and Conditions

  1. This promotion is open to all persons aged 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom, (excluding Scotland), other than employees, and their immediate families, of Carlsberg UK Limited, their associated companies and anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.
  2. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a prize may be withheld until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification.
How to Enter
  1. You will require internet access and a bank account or PayPal account to enter the promotion and claim your money back (Claim). To enter the promotion and make a Claim, you must:
    1. Purchase one pack of Tetley’s No. 4 4x440ml (Product) at a participating Tesco outlet (Outlet); and
    2. Visit the web link on the applicable in-store promotional material or the advertisement in the May issue of Tesco magazine which will direct you to www.tetleysbeer.co.uk/no4lager(Landing Page) or directly visit the Landing Page; and
    3. insert the Required Information (as defined below) at the Landing Page and upload the till receipt (Receipt) you obtained when purchasing the Product at an Outlet.
  2. In order to enter the promotion and make your Claim you must enter your details at the Landing Page including your full name, email address, contact telephone number, bank details, product purchase price as listed on your receipt and the Outlet you purchased the Product in as well as uploading the Receipt.
  3. The Receipt must clearly show the purchase of the Product between the Opening Date and the Closing Date, the purchase price, the name of the Outlet you purchased the Product from and the receipt number.
  4. The instructions provided at the point of entry form part of the terms and conditions of this promotion. In the event of a conflict, these terms and conditions take precedence.
  5. The promotion starts at 00:00 on 11 May 2021 (Opening Date). Promotional Products must be purchased by between 11 May 2021 and 20 June 2021 (‘Activation Period’) and Consumers will have from 11 May 2021 until 30 June 2021 to submit their claim ('Promotion Period'). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for Claims that are lost, delayed, corrupted or not received by the Closing Date for any reason. Proof of sending shall not be deemed to be proof of receipt.
  6. One Claim per person. Claims not complying with these terms and conditions will be invalid.
  1. If your Claim has been received, you will be notified of this by the email address you provided. Your Claim will then be reviewed within 3 working days and you will receive your money back by bank transfer or payment to your PayPal account within 7 working days of this email (Successful Claim).
  2. If your Claim has not been accepted, you will be notified of this by the email address you provided when making your Claim within 7 working days of submitting your Claim explaining why the Claim has not been accepted.
  3. Successful Claims will have the option to choose to receive a refund via bank transfer or payment to your PayPal account for the amount paid for the Product and listed on the Receipt. Bank transfer or payment to your Paypal account are the only methods of payment available.
  4. If multiple Products are purchased in one transaction, only one Product will be eligible for entry into this promotion. Each Receipt may only be used once to make a single Claim.
  5. Each Claim is non-transferable and no cash or other alternative will be offered.
  6. Only original Receipts will be accepted. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for Receipts that are lost or deleted.
  1. The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the promotion and / or revise these terms and conditions at any time without giving prior notice and, by continuing to take part in the promotion subsequent to any revision, entrants shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended terms.
  2. The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify entries deemed to be non-compliant with these terms and conditions or if it has any reason to believe that efforts have been made to distort the spirit of the promotion. The Promoter’s decision as to any aspect of this promotion is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  3. Bank transfer or PayPal payments will only be made payable to the person whose name is entered into the Landing Page and which correspond to the account details entered. Please ensure your name is typed correctly and matches the name of the account holder.
    Payment will be administered by Valassis Limited, acting on behalf of Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company, will refund up to £4.50 for each valid claim as evidenced by the receipt provided via UK bank transfer or PayPal account to the details provided at the time of submission).
    Payment will appear from ‘Valassis Ltd’. Valassis Limited, on behalf of Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company, will be responsible for the cost of paying the refund to you, but you will be responsible for any other costs associated with the refund process. Valassis Limited, on behalf of Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company, will use reasonable endeavours to provide refunds within 7 working days of receipt of a correctly completed form.
  4. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  5. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
  6. This promotion and all issues arising out of it shall be governed in accordance with English law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
